National Revenue Board (NBR) Chairman Md Nojibur Rahman has been appointed as the Principal Secretary to the Prime Minister (PM).
Rahman will succeed Dr Kamal Abdul Naser Chowdhury who concluded his contractual tenure on December 31, according to an official notification issued on Sunday.
Nojibur, a 1982 batch civil services officer, served as Environment and Forests Secretary, Statistics and Informatics Division Secretary and Director General of Department of Environment.
Born in 1960 in Sunamganj district, Rahman did his graduation and post-graduation degrees in Sociology from Dhaka University (DU).
He also obtained a post-graduation degree in Development Administration in 1999 from Australian National University under the Commonwealth Scholarship and Fellowship Plan (CSFP).
Nojibur Rahman has authored a number of books including the “Protocol
Management and International Etiquette” which had been highly praised by
policymakers and public servants.
