U-18 Football: NoFeL SC to play Saif SC in final today

NoFeL Sporting Club will play against Saif Sporting Club in the final of Walton Under-18 Football Tournament at the Bir Shreshtha Shaheed Shipahi Mohammad Mustafa Kamal Stadium in Kamalapur here today.
The match will kick-off at 3 pm.
In a pre-match press-conference on Monday at BFF house in Motijheel, NoFeL trainer Akbar Hossain said that despite being the underdogs, they will give a tough fight against Saif SC.
“We weren’t well-prepared ahead of the tournament. Even, we started our campaign as the underdogs. But, our dream was to reach final and now we are here. Saif SC are strong side but we will give them a tough fight in the final,” Akbar added.
On the other hand, Saif trainer Kamal Babu said, “We have participated here with the target of producing quality footballers for the club and we have done it. Our target was to play final and we made it successfully. Now, we are eying for the cup.”
Besides, Senior Vice President of Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) Abdus Salam Murshedy, General Secretary Abu Nayeem Shohag, Executive Director of Walton Group FM Iqbal Bin Anwar Dawn and two key players from the two teams were also present on the occasion.
 Abdus Salam Murshedy, who is also the chairman of BFF Professional Football League Committee, thanked the sponsor of the tournament Walton Group.
A total of twelve Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) clubs – split into four groups – participated in the tournament.
Group D Champions Saif SC reached final eliminating Dhaka Abahani Limited by 5-0 goals in the 2nd semifinal at Bangabandhu National Stadium (BNS) here on September 27 while the Group D runners-up NoFel SC reached final eliminating Bashundhara Kings by 4-3 goals in tie breaker in the 1st semifinal at the same venue on September 26.
In their previous meet, Saif Sporting Club played 1-1 draw against NoFeL Sporting Club in the opening match of the Walton Under-18 Football Tournamentat at BNS here on September 13.
