The prime accused in Noakhali gang-rape incident Delwar Hossain was placed on a two-day remand by a court in Narayanganj.
Narayanganj Senior Judicial Magistrate Fahmida Khatun passed the order on Tuesday afternoon.
Siddhirganj police produced Delwar, chief of “Delwar Bahini”, before the court with a seven-day remand prayer, said Wazed Ali Khokon, public prosecutor (PP) of Narayanganj district court.
The court later granted a two-day remand after the hearing, he told our Narayanganj correspondent.
Rab arrested “Delwar Bahini” chief Delwar in Narayanganj on Monday in connection with the gang-rape in Noakhali’s Begumganj.
