No water at Airport washrooms

Staff Reporter :
People both local and foreign are facing difficult time at the country’s busiest Hazrat Shah Jalal International Airport (HSIA) due to insufficient monitoring and mismanagement of sanitary services.
On Tuesday many of them were shocked as they found no water supply in toilet and washrooms which continued from 7:00 am to 11:00am on the day.
They have to use bottle water for emergency toilet mitigation purchasing at their own arrangement. No staffs were present to look after the toilet and washrooms during the period.
Such poor state of sanitation services rarely happen in other international airports, passengers said.
Though several teams are working at the airport including airport authorities, Civil Aviation Authority Bangladesh (CAAB), UK-based contractor Redline and Biman,
quality service is still far cry.
The reporter called several times and sent SMS to CAAB member (operation and planning) M Mostafizur Rahman, to clear the situation but none responded.
