No village to remain without electricity

State Minister for Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives Mashiur Rahman Ranga said not a single village would remain without electricity in near future in the country.
“The present government led by Prime Minsiter Sheikh Hasina has been working to reach electricity to every house,” Ranga said this recently while switching on the newly-built power supply lines for two villages at separate functions in Gangachara upazila as the chief guest. The Rangpur Rural Electrification Board (REB) Samity-2 organised the ceremonies at villages Moubhasha Lakherajtari under Mornea union and Chhalapak under Gajoghontha union to provide electricity to 259 houses in the upazila.
The State Minsiter said every house of Gangachara upazila would be brought under power supply network in near future through successful implementation of the government’s electricity for all programme.
“Supply of electricity will not only enlighten the villages, but also help our children continue their studies properly to become worthy citizens in future,” he said.
Ranga called upon the guardians to properly groom their children as good citizens and patriots imbibing with all human virtues and qualities and take care of them so that no evil force could mislead them to cause harm to the nation.
“Electrification of any area works as a catalyst to accelerate local uplifts and increase in the rate of educated and enlightened citizens always paves the way for infrastructural
development side by side with improving human resources,” he said.
President of Gangachara upazila unit of Jatiya Party (JP) Shamsul Alam, Gangachara Upazila Nirbahi Officer Aminul Islam, Mornea union Chairman Mosaddek Ali Azad, President of Mornea union JP Mohammad Shamsuddin and Officer-in-Charge of Gangachara Model Thana Zinnat Ali, addressed the functions.
