Communications Minister Obaidul Quader said there will be no traffic jam during the upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr festival because of bad shape of the roads and highways.
“Damaged roads across the country are being repaired.
A monitoring team and mobile courts are now working to oversee the matter,” he said this on Thursday while visiting vehicular movements in Gulistan area.
High police and government officials accompanied the minister.
Referring to his field visits, the minister said that he has been visiting different roads ahead of the Eid and measures are being taken to make fit the damaged roads and highways wherever it is necessary to ease the journey of home bound passengers.
Quader, also a presidium member of the ruling Awamni League said, “Nabinagar to Chandra road has already been expanded to ease traffic jam.”
