UNB, Dhaka :Finance Minister AMA Muhith on Wednesday said there is no scope to change the newly announced national pay scale. The minister came up with the remarks while talking to reporters after paying his income tax through online at the Secretariat.Those who will enforce movement over the issue will gain nothing, he said.Replying to a question, the minister said, “The demand of public university teachers over their pay scale was made out of ignorance.” “Besides, Bangladesh Bank employees’ movement over the pay scale issue is totally baseless. I don’t find any logic in their movement,” he said adding that though I had promised them that they will get a separate pay scale but after the announcement of the new pay scale there is no need of it, I think.”
