No reflective ties with Pakistan after independence

Awami League joint general secretary Mahbub-ul-Alam Hanif, MP, yesterday said Bangladesh had no reflective relations with Pakistan after independence.
“People of this country could not foster stronger relationship with Pakistan as they could not forget the genocide by the occupation Pakistani troops during the War of Liberation,” he told newsmen after visiting an education based competition at Udyan High School at Dhaka University campus in the city.
Bangabandhu Education Foundation organised the education based competition “Bangabandhu Merit Scholarship-2015” aimed at exploring education based knowledge and sharing original history of the country among the next generation. AL organizing secretary Khalid Mahmood Chowdhury, MP, AL sub-committee assistant secretaries Saifuddin Nasir, Khan Moinul Islam Mostaque, Bangabandhu Education Foundation chairman Seemanta Talukder, chief executive Sajjad Hossain, director Rafiqul Islam Gaffari Russel, Mohiuddin Sohel and Meherul Hasan Sohel were present among others. Hanif said that Bangladesh achieved independence under the leadership of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman through front war against occupation army of Pakistan and from then on the country had no active relations with Pakistan.
