No progress yet in Sylhet Dhiraj murder

Police have not been able to unravel the mystery even after nine days have passed since the murder of brickfield manager Dhiraj Pal (60) at Gaharpur in Sylhet’s Balaganj upazila. Police arrested seven people in connection with the murder. 3 of them have been remanded and questioned. Another 3 people have applied for remand.
Pinku Chandra Das, the investigating officer of the case said. After interrogating the three on remand, no clue was found about the murder,
He said many people have been questioned in connection with the murder of Dhiraj Pal. Meanwhile, 3 people have been remanded and questioned. And remand of 3 more people has been applied. So far, however, the murder clue has not been recovered. Police are still trying to unravel the mystery of the murder.
He said the case was registered on May 31 through the virtual court of Sylhet Chief Judicial Magistrate Kawsar Ahmed.
Brickyard owner and cashier Merajul Islam Chowdhury, brickyard assistant manager Suhed Ahmed and CNG autorickshaw driver Rubel were remanded for four days.
They were sent to jail last Thursday after remand. Later, bald driver Iqbal Hossain, his assistant Tofail Ahmed and bricklayer night watchman Russell Ali were arrested and remanded for 10 days. The remand application could be heard on Monday.
