On Wednesday, he told reporters, “Many people do it willingly. Many people are going missing or hiding themselves to embarrass us. This is difficult for detectives to find out those who are hiding willingly. However, we’ll trace them hopefully”.
Utpal, 29, remains missing since October 10. His father Chitta Ranjan Das and the Editor of News Portal Purboposhchimbd.news filed two general diaries with Motijheel Police Station on October 12 and 13 respectively in connection with the incident.
“We have been carrying out an extensive search and trying to trace all possible contacts to find him,” Officer-In-Charge (investigation)
of Motijheel Police Station Golam Rabbani told The New Nation yesterday.
ABN Group MD Syed Sadat Ahmed has allegedly been abducted from Banani in Dhaka, his family claims.
Sadat was forced out of his car and pushed into a microbus under the Banani overpass on August 22 in the afternoon, said his father Col (retd) Syed Shahabuddin Ahmed.
Police suspect Sadat’s business rivals maybe behind the abduction, but yet to make any headway in the abduction case.

“Mithun was forced into a black microbus by a group of people who introduced themselves as law enforcers. They picked up him along with another BJP leader Ashiq Ghosh at about 12.10am on October 27 in front of the Lebu Market,” Mithun’s wife Sumona Chowdhury told The New Nation yesterday.

Five days before Aniruddha went missing, ABN Group MD Sadat was allegedly abducted from Banani in the capital.
Investigators suspect disappearances of Aniruddha, Aminur and Sadat are inter-connected and three were picked up in a similar manner. But still they are in dark about their whereabouts.
