The authority of Islamic University (IU), Kushtia did not form any probe body against Proctor Prof Dr M Mahbubar Rahman regarding the corruption in recruitment which audio recording was leaked later.
Sources said, an audio recording of recruitment corruption between Proctor Prof Dr. M Mahbubar Rahman and Assistant Professor of Finance and Banking Department, M Ruhul Amin was leaked last 19 September. Six days already passed but the authority yet not form any probe body against the incident. Many senior teachers of Bangabandhu Parishad expressed huff over not forming any probe body.
Recently several reports had published about test forgery, corruption, recruitment business, money laundering of the university in different newspapers. The University authority had formed probe body against those incident immediately. Some of the accused already punished over those incidents. But as no probe body formed yet Progressive Teachers posed question to the authority is this happening because of the involvement of proctor, because of VC’s close associate?
After taking charge present VC of IU Prof Dr Harun-Ur-Rashid Askari announced zero tolerance against any corruption. As Proctor Prof Dr. M Mahbubur Rahman loyal to the VC, the authority showing procrastination to investigate against Him, alleged an executive member of Islamic University Teachers association seeking anonymity.
IU VC Prof Dr. M Harun-Ur-Rashid Askari said, nobody complained to me yet. But I read some report in newspapers. I did not listen the audio yet. I will talk to my body. Believe me. No criminal can flee.
