Syed Ashraful Islam, Minister for Public Administration and general secretary of the ruling Awami League, said here yesterday that there is no possibility of deferring the national council of Awami League right now.
“The national council of our party will be held as per the schedule. If situation compels or any issue rises for deferring the council then it will be discussed at the Awami League Central Working Committee meeting,” he said while talking to reporters during a visit to the site of the office of Divisional Commissioner of Mymensingh.
Syed Ashraful Islam said, “Townships like a developed country will be constructed on both the banks of the river Brahmaputra.” Assuring of his all possible cooperation for development of Mymensingh Division, the minister said everything will be done for development and expansion of the division and its headquarters in accordance with the expectations of Mymensingh-dwellers.
