The government has issued directives to Upazila and District Education Officers to ensure that no other educational institutions (like Kindergarten schools and coaching centres) are set up near government primary schools across the country.
The directive was issued in this regard through a notice signed by Directorate of Primary Education (Policy and Operation) Khan Md Nurul Amin on Tuesday.
The instruction has been formulated as per a recommendation made by the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Primary and Mass Education Ministry in this regard on July 24.
