No more online appointment for Indian visa

UNB, Dhaka :India has relaxed visa application process waiving the online ‘appointment date’ for all categories, except tourist ones, with effect from February 1.”With effect from February 1, applications forall categories of Indian visas, except tourist visas, will be accepted on a walk-in-basis without an online appointment date’ at Indian Visa Application Centers (IVACs),” said a revised Indian visa procedures applicable for Dhaka and Khulna centers.The categories are business, medical, medical attendant, students, research, journalists, conference, employment, transit, artists, sportspersons, spouses of Indian nationals, spouses of business persons, private sector ITEC trainees, family members of persons attending government of India sponsored training and foreign nationals.For tourist visas (T Visas), the existing procedures as described on http:/www.ivacbd.com for submission of visa applications will continue to remain valid. Tourist visa applicants will continue to require obtaining an online ‘appointment date’ for the submission of their applications.
