UNB, Dhaka :Issuing a strong note of warning that no graft suspect will be spared, Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) Chairman Iqbal Mahmood on Tuesday said time has come now to bring corruption to a tolerable level to maintain the existing trend of the country’s development.”No graft suspect will be spared. All suspects will be brought to justice. So, there’s nothing for the corrupt elements to be happy,”he told a function in Rajshahi city. Rajshahi district office of the Commission arranged the function at local Shilpakala Academy, according to an ACC press release.A total of 79 members of the upazila and district corruption prevention committees were awarded at the programme. Expressing his surprise, the ACC chief said although it is mandatory to complete probe within 60 working days from launching the investigation, many graft cases remain pending for long 10 years.”Thousands of graft cases are sill in deep freeze,” he said, adding that so the Commission has launched a clean-up drive from its own house.
