“To protect our people is our main goal. We cannot let our 16.5 crore people become sick because of a few persons. It is why we have taken the stern decision. We have already blocked the entry of Indian citizens,” he said.
Stating about coronavirus cases in Bangladesh the foreign minister said, “Five people are found infected with the virus, so far. All of them are expatriates. The good news is that three of them recovered and the rest two patients are taking treatment.”
The minister said about the suspending states,” It can be some European counties, China, South Korea and Iran.”
“The risk of coronavirus infection is low among children and the youth. So, we have not yet decided to shut down the schools,” he said.
“But if it is necessary or we get any indication, we will shut down the schools. We are conducting continuous monitoring in this regard.”
