There is no fertilizer crisis in Chapainawabganj district for Boro cultivation in the current season, despite indefinite blockade enforced by the BNP led 20- party alliance across the country.
Md. Saiful Islam, deputy director, Department of Agriculture Extension (DAE) here, said there is sufficient stock of fertilizer against the demand in the district.
The cultivation of Boro has been going on in full swing since first week of January and it will continue till March 16. Meanwhile, a total of 6,850 hectares has so far been cultivated, the sources said.
