A report published in the New Nation said the government has decided to form a search committee to find honest capable people to form the next election commission (EC). But the formation of the EC by such a method before the last two national elections showed it was a hoax. It ends up selecting people who are committed ruling party men to run elections the way the government wants. The issue came up for discussion on Monday at a seminar organised by Shushashoner Jonno Nagorik (SHUJAN) in the city.
The SHUJAN has been carrying a Constitution prepared by them to sell as if the government is eager to hold free elections and is in need of a new Constitution. It is really disgraceful to talk about free election by those who organised the government by sharing corruption among those sharing state power.
A section of our educated people are so clever and so opportunistic that it is no problem for the bureaucratic government to survive on lies and election robbery. They have proved us unfit for election and enjoying rights. Election is a business of abuse of police power and a game of
corruption sharing. The people are suffering severe hardship but there is no shortage of money for corruption.

Please do not waste time for searching for honest men for an useless Election Commission to facilitate election hijacking.
When everything is tolerated why not be suggestive for the government to give a declaration in favour of this government to continue life long. At least there will be no election time bargaining, corruption and violence.
