No Eid holiday for Benapole port users

The authorities have cancelled leaves for government employees at Benapole land port to ease traveling between Bangladesh and India. Employees of customs, immigration police and Border Guard Bangladesh were asked to remain on their station on Eid holidays, sources at the land port informed.
Talking to journalists, Sadhan Kumar Kundu, assistant commissioner, Benapole customs told that Benapole offices relating to immigration at the international land port remained open on holidays on special arrangements according rules of international land ports. ‘Leaves of employees at Benapole customs were cancelled’, he added.
Jahangir Hossain, officer in-charge, Benapole immigration police, said considering the movements of passport holders between Bangladesh and India leaves of 90 employees were cancelled.
‘They will not be able to enjoy Eid holidays ‘, he added.
Subader Rafiqul Islam, Benapole company commander, 26 Border Guard Battalion told that BGB personnel cannot holidays all together. They enjoy holiday in terms.
