Awami League presidium member and Agriculture Minister Begum Matia Chowdhury yesterday said there would not be any dialogue with those defeated forces of 1971 and the killers of human-beings like hyenas.
“Those who propose holding of dialogue with those hyenas have been suffering from delirium. We don’t pursue politics with delirium and don’t talk with hyenas and won’t talk in future,” she said.
Begum Matia Chowdhury said this while speaking as the chief guest at a largely attended public rally in the city. Dhaka City Awami League (AL) organised the rally in front of party central office at Bangabandhu Avenue protesting recent abduction attempt on Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s ICT (Information and Communication Technology) affairs adviser and her son Sajeeb Wazed Joy in the United States.
Acting president of Dhaka City AL MA Aziz presided over the rally, also addressed, among others, by AL joint general secretary Mahbub-ul-Alam Hanif, Dhaka City AL general secretary Mofazzal Hossain Chowdhury Maya (Bir Bikram), AL organising secretary AFM Bahauddin Nasim, Food Minister Advocate Quamrul Islam, Ilyas Hossain Mollah, MP, and Dhaka City AL organising secretary Shahe Alam Murad.
Alleging that Begum Khaleda Zia has been dealing in business with death and corpses, Begum Matia Chowdhury said, “They deal in corpses and for this reason, Khaleda Zia and her son Tarique Rahman didn’t go to see the body of Ziaur Rahman in exchange of a house and money after his assassination. They didn’t have any reaction after seeing corpses like that of Azrail. They won’t become successful. There is blessing of Allah upon Sheikh Hasina and Joy. The victory will be for human-beings and defeat is a must for demons.”
In reply to remarks of some BNP leaders that the news relating to abduction of Joy was fictitious, the senior leader of Awami League said, “The information of FBI was fictitious. What we say is baseless and what Begum Khaleda Zia and her thieves-dacoit accomplices say are based on facts. Their eye-lids never blink while resorting to falsehood as they feel no shame and repentance. It’s natural that BNP leaders will come up with such remarks as their party came into being on the basis of falsehood.”
Pointing at Begum Khaleda Zia, Mahbub-ul-Alam Hanif said, “Time has not exhausted yet to rectifying yourself. Take recourse to health politics confessing the responsibility of the killings. Otherwise, you will be on the dock for trial.”
He urged the US administration to arrest immediately those involved in the abduction conspiracy of Sajeeb Wazed Joy alleging that as an agent of Pakistan Begum Khaleda Zia has been hatching conspiracy to kill the surviving family members of Bangabandhu to hinder Bangladesh’s progress. As part of that conspiracy, the AL leader said some BNP activists hatched conspiracy to abduct Bangabandhu’s grandson Sajeeb Wazed Joy while he was staying in the United States.
