Judges are citizens of the country. As citizens, judges also have a responsibility to join the protest.The judges made this remarks at a human chain organized by the Bangladesh Judicial Service Association in front of the Dampara Police Women’s Welfare Association at 10:30 am yesterday morning.
Protesting against the vandalism of Bangabandhu’s sculpture, the judges said, “These judges not only judge, they know how to take part in the protest procession.” There is no compromise on the question of the Father of the Nation. Everyone must work together to protect the honour of the Father of the Nation.
All the judges in charge of Chattogram were present at that time.
After the human chain, the judges joined the protest rally organized by the departmental and district level government officials and employees at the District Shilpakala Academy.
Meanwhile the Freedom Fighters and their sons demanded ban of the anti-liberation forces and ultra fundamentalists.
They staged demonstration yesterday at AK Khan crossing in the city . Commander of Metropolitan unit of Muktijuddha Sangsad Mozaffar Ahmed graced the occasion as chief guest duly addressed by Farid Mahmud as principal speaker in it.
