The Road Transport and Highway Division instructed Deputy Commissioners not to allow any cattle market on roads and highways during the holy Eid-ul-Azha, the second biggest religious festival of the Muslims.
Md Nazrul Islam, secretary of Road Transport and Highway Division, told this to journalists after holding a meeting with the DCs at the Secretariat on Wednesday.
He also asked the deputy commissioners to solve very quickly if there is any problem in acquiring of land for different projects including mega projects as foreign nationals are involved in many of those.
