State Minister for Water Resources Lt Colonel (Retd) Nazrul Islam Hiro (Bir Patik) said there is no alternative to quality education for the development of the country.
He said the present government has relentlessly working for the development of education to build an enlightened nation.
The Minister said this while he was addressing as Chief Guest in a function the freshers’ reception- 2014 of Narsingdi Government College and accorded reception to Abdul Kader Mollah, a renowned industrialist of Narsingdi district at Narsingdi Government College Auditorium here on Saturday.
The minister termed the meritorious students as the asset of the country and asked them to the worthy citizens of the country and devote themselves in nation buildings
With the chair of the principal of Narsingdi Government College Prof Mohammad Abu Bakker Siddeque, Mayer of Narsingdi Pourashava Kamruzzaman, General Secretary of Narsingsdi District Awami League Abdul Motin Bhuiyan, former Principals of Narsingdi Govt College Prof Mohammad Ali, Prof Golam Mostafa Miah, Vice Principal of the College Shirajul Islam, Principal of Abdul Kader Mollah City College Dr Moshiur Rahman Mirdha were present as special guests and addressed in the function.
Vice President Samim Nawas and Assistant Secretary Sharif Ahmed of Narsingdi Government College Chhatra Sangsad also addressed the function.
The Minister said Abdul Kader Mollah has been playing vital role in spreading education in Narsingdi district .
