Journalist MA Matin Akhand , Executive Director of NGO Man for Man has been awarded with Peace Award by the human rights organisation United Movement Human Rights recently.
The award was handed over at a ceremony in Dhaka recently.
Former chairman of National Human rights Commission Justice Md Amirul Kabir Chowdhury was present as Chief Guest
It is mentionable that NGO Man for Man has been working since 1998 to improve the socio-economic condition of the people of Barguna district as well as coastal areas. MA Matin Akhand is also the Upazila Correspondent of The New Nation.
