For the last few months Close Up 1 famed singer Nishita Barua has become busy in music. While finding about her present condition this correspondent invented that Nishita is engaging with her MBA study at Independent University of Bangladesh right now.
She has already finished her second semester. Within very short days third semester will begin. For this reason, she has to be engaged with study now. As a result, she is absolutely absent in live TV programmes and stage performances. Though she has been engaged with study Nishita’s mind remain in music. Basically she is waiting to render those songs, which will help her make alive forever among the listeners.
While talking in this regard Nishita said, “Basically music is my main support for survival. If my rendered any song doesn’t sustain for long time it is no need to render any song. For this reason, I am waiting to search that type of songs now.”
For her coming solo album Nishita has already finished recording of two songs – Ki jey maya aharey and Hariye bujhechhi ami. Lyrics of these two songs were written by Nishita herself, while Kishore Das has coordinated its music.
Few days ago, Nishita released a VCD based on seven Buddhist Kirtan songs which music was directed by Partho Barua and lyrics were written by Nishita’s father Shakyopad Barua. Nishita’s Buddhist Kirtan’s were also highly appreciated in India and Sri Lanka.
