Staff Reporter : Nirmal Ranjan Guha and Afzalur Rahman Babu have been elected President and General Secretary respectively of Awami Swechchhasebak League, an associate body of the Bangladesh Awami League.
Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader on Saturday announced the names of the office bearers of the new committee at the third national council of the organisation in the Institution of Engineers, Bangladesh (IEB) auditorium in the capital.
Nirmal Guha and Afzal were the Vice-Presidents of previous committee.
Besides, Kamrul Hasan Ripon has been elected President and Tarique Sayeed General Secretary of Dhaka South Swechchhasebak League committee.
Isahaq Mia has been elected President and Anisur Rahman Nayeem General Secretary of Dhaka North Swechchhasebak League.

In 2012 Swechchhasebak League formed its committee where Molla Md Abu Kawsar and Pankaj Debath were chosen as president and general secretary.
