Nine killed in road crashes

At least nine persons, including four in Mymensingh, were killed and many others injured in separate road accidents across the country on Wednesday.
In Mymensingh, four passengers of a auto-rickshaw were killed and three others seriously injured when a passenger bus hit the auto-rickshaw in charsrirampur area of Gouripur upazila on Wednesday.
The victims were identified as: Rafiqul Islam, 55, from Sutirpara area in Mymensingh, Sahara Khatun, 62, from Ujan Kashiarchar area of Gouripur upazila, Lal Mia, 50 and his mother Rabiya Khatun, 75.
Borhan Uddin, Officer-in-Charge of Gouripur Police station confirmed the matter to the media that one woman died on the spot and Rafiqul Islam, Sahara Khatun and Rabia Khatun died after taken to the hospital.
Three injured were also sent to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital, OC added.
In Dinajpur, at least three motorcycle raiders were killed when a excavator hit their bike in Birampur upazila of the district on Tuesday midnight.
The deceased were identified as Sujan, 35, son of one Saidur Rahman from Segunbagan, Osman Goni,30, son of one Setabul Islam and Biplob Hossain.
Moniruzzaman, Officer-in-charge (OC) of Rampur Police Station confirmed the news to the media that victims were going to Nababganj from
 Birampur. Suddenly a excavator hit their bike and they all died on the spot.
The bodies were sent to M Abdur Rahim Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy, OC added.
In Jashore, two persons were killed in two separate road crashes of the district on Wednesday morning.
Two accidents took place at Bahadurpur area on the Jashore-Magura Highway and Rajarhat area of the district. The deceased were identified as Mohiuddin, 50, son of one Jabir Molla of Jaynagar village of Bagherpara Upazila, and Shahabur Mia, 45, son of one Mahtab Ali of Chhato Salua village of Chuadanga Sadar upazila. Mohammad Moniruzzaman, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Jashore Kotwali police station, confirmed the deaths.
