Nilphamari District Unit of Biscuit and Bread Manufacturers Association has taken a laudable step to maintain hygiene in producing delicious food item ‘lascha semai ‘at time of holy Ramadan and Eid-ul-Fitr as well.
President of the organization Md Akhtar Siddiquee told journalists that they had formed a monitoring team to visit different ‘lascha semai’ factories time to time and also conducting counseling to factory owners.
” We have been able to create awareness among the factory owners by frequent counseling and almost cent percent hygiene is being maintained in this regard,” he added.
He also informed that his organization had urged the district and concerned upazila administrations to take action against those infamous factories, which aren’t maintaining hygiene and preparing the food item in dirty and unhealthy environment.
A number of consumers expressed satisfaction at the high quality of lascha semai, which are produced maintaining health values with a little exception.
They said that self-inspiration and patriotism of the owners have improved the situation which would not have been possible by implementing law only.
In previous years mobile courts launched drives again and again but failed to change the situation but this year the reality is different as no mobile court launched drive so far.
