For her outstanding contribution in the field of Nazrul Sangeet noted Nazrul singer Nilima Das will receive the lifetime achievement award at AB Bank-Channel i Nazrul Mela 2014, which is scheduled to be held on May 25, Jaisthya 11 of Bengali calendar, on Channel i premises in
the city’s Tejgaon area.
The Nazrul Mela will kick off at 11:05am where noted Nazrul exponents, researchers, singers, among
others, will gather.
To announce the matter, a press
conference was held on Thursday at the Channel i office in the city here noted Nazrul singer Ferdous Ara, Director
General of Bangla Academy
Shamsuzzaman Khan, Head of News and Director of Channel i Shykh Seraj and Executive Director of Nazrul Institute Iqram Ahmed spoke on the occasion.
