A night guard was chopped to death by assailants in Uttarsur area of Srimangal Upazila town of the Moulvibazar district on Tuesday. The deceased was identified as Ayub Ali, 50, son of Murad Ullah in Adapasa village in sadar Upazila of the Habiganj district. He was a guard in a building under in Uttarsur area of Srimangal Upazila town. Sources said that miscreants chopped him to death with knife in morning time when he duties in building.
Later, on information police recovered his body and sent to Moulvibazar Sadar Hospital Morgue. Confirming the matter Srimangal Police station, Officer-in-Charge Md. Abdul Jalil told The Daily New Nation, “He might be killed over previous enmity.” A case was filed in this connection, he added.
