Chairman of National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) Kazi Reazul Hoque called on Jatiya Sangsad Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury at her office on Sunday.
During the meeting, they discussed different issues, including Millennium Development Goals (MDGs), Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and human rights situation in Bangladesh.
Hoque praised the steps taken by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in implementing MDGs and SDGs.
He also informed the speaker that the NHRC would hold a regional conference over SDGs.
Praising the initiative, Chaudhury, also the Chairperson of CPA Executive Committee, said the programme would play a positive role in gaining SDGs.
Jatiya Sangsad Whip Iqbalur Rahman was present at the meeting, it added.
