The Anushka Sharma film, NH10, which is also her first film as a producer, has pushed its release date from the 6th to the 13th of MarchFrom what we hear, the film is facing an issue with the Examining Committee at the Censor Board. While some members agreed to pass the film with an A certificate, along with a few cuts, not all members agreed.With the view that NH10 is excessively violent and has abusive language, other members are not sure whether the film is fit for certification and release.Navdeep Singh, the director of NH10 says, “As of now we have not been informed of any decision. As long as the integrity of the story, characters and setting is not compromised, I’m okay.” A positive Anushka Sharma added, “We have made a very good film and I’m confident of the content. In fact, we’re surprised about the delay and contemplation over the film.”Whether the makers will be under pressure to make creative compromises or the film releases with minor cuts, remains to be seen.
