‘Next generation facing threat of food adulteration’

Adulteration of food and consuming items, which have flooded our local markets and people having in their daily life are going to make a threat for our next generation, said a group of speakers at a meeting.
The programme was organised by Safe Food and Consumer Rights Movement (SFCRM), Bangladesh in front of The Jatiya Press Club on Monday marking the National Safe Food Day-2021. The organisation also brought out a colorful rally in the city.  
Former Vice-Chancellor of Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University (SAU) Professor Dr Kamal Uddin Ahmed spoke as the chief guest. He told the meeting that Bangladesh is now self-sufficient in food production, but it is a matter of sorrow that it was not possible to ensure safe food for all.
He said, we are not only getting damaged for consuming contaminated food, our next generation also facing threat of productivity.
Chief Executive of the organisation Kamruzzaman Bablu presided over the programme while Secretary General of National Awami Party (NAP) M Golam Mostafa Bhuiyan, Vice-president of SFCRM Shahidul Islam, Noman Mosharef, Jesmine Ara, Abdul Aziz, Ripon Mia and Ismail Serajee, among others, spoke at the programme.
