Anowar Hossain Azad, State Witness No. 19 in the Fulgazi Upazila Chairman Ekramul Haque murder case, testified in a Feni court on Wednesday.
Feni District and Session Judge Nilufar Sultana recorded his deposition. The court fixed November 17 the next date of recording testifying .
Confirming it, Public Prosecutor Advocate Hafez Ahmad said that the court rejected the bail prayers
submitted by 12 of the arrested accused. He added that the law enforcers arrested 46 accused of which 35 are in Feni jail, four in Comilla and seven on bail.
It is notable that Fulgazi Upazila Chairman Ekramul Haque was shot at and burnt to death by a gang of depraved people on May 20 in 2014 near Bilashi Cinema Hall at Feni Academy.
