Minister for Housing and Works Engr.Mosharaf Hossain said newspaper is the mirror of the society and the journalists are pillars of the nation. The minister disclosed it while exchanging views with the delegation of Sadhin Newspapers Readers Samity led by central President SM Jamaluddin at former’s residence in city on Saturday. Minister also said readers of are the heart of newspapers and the media men can play vital role for welfare of the society as well as the country. He called upon the leaders of the Samity to come forward for the progress and prosperity of the country with the spirit of great liberation war of 1971.
Among others central leader of the samity Sohel Mahmud, ogranising secretary Nazimuddin , joint secretary of North district AL Jasimuddin, APS to the minister Nur Mohammad Khan, central Jubo League leader Babul, Hathazari poura AL leader Md. Jasimuddin were present during the meet. During the meet, the Minister and the leaders of the samity exchanged greetings each others and the minister thanked the Readers Association leaders for exchanging views with him, samity sources said.
