News published in a local Bengali daily of the port city on Thursday last under captioned ‘Control of Hundi Business’ was protested by Panel Mayor Zamiruddin Parvez for inclusion his named in the hundi gangster list. In his protest to media men said the allegation against him is absolutely baseless and motivated. While talking with this correspondent Zamiruddin Parvez said he is the son of a respectable Muslim family of Raozan and an elected councilor for four consecutive times of Raozan poursava. Zamiruddin Parvez is the President of Raozan Upazila Jubo League beside Panel Mayor.
Besides, at present is involved with the school managing committee of a number of educational and social institutions and a clean imaged public representative and never entangled in any sorts of hundi business , he said.
Mentionable that Zamiruddin attained two prestigious national awards on Agricultural development a nd education promotion . Meanwhile Raonan UZ Awami league, Jubo League, Poura AL, JL, BCL, Chattogram- Rangamati Bus Minibus Owners’ Association, Raozn Brick Manafacturers Owners’ Association, Chattogram Rangamati Bus wosrkers union, Upazila Union Parishad chairman Association, Upazila Secondary School Teachers Association , Upazila Primary School Teachers’ Association ,Barrister Suresh High School managing committee, Raoan poura councilors, Poura Bebashaye Samity, expressed resentment over the inclusion of name of Zamiruddin Parvez in the hundi business syndicate.
