Another journalist killed in Mexico

A Mexican journalist was shot dead in front of his wife and two adult children outside his home in a crime-ridden eastern state where 18 other reporters have been murdered since 2010.
Pedro Tamayo Rosas, a 45-year-old who covered the police beat for two online dailies in Veracruz state, was killed late Wednesday in the town of Tierra Blanca, prosecutors said.

Saudi executions exceed 100 this year

Saudi authorities on Friday executed a man for murder, the interior ministry said, bringing to 101 the number of people put to death this year in the ultra-conservative kingdom.
Fahad Abdulhadi al-Dusari was found guilty of shooting dead fellow Saudi Mubarak bin Mohammed al-Dusari following a dispute, the ministry said in statement carried by the SPA state news agency.

15 die after bus overturns in north Iran

Iran’s state TV is reporting that 15 people have died after their bus crashed into a high-voltage electricity pylon and overturned in the north of the country.
The Saturday repot says dozens of passengers were injured during the incident. It took place in pre-dawn darkness and caused blackouts in the rural area on the mountainous road linking the northern cities of Karaj and Chalous, some 100 kilometers (60 miles) north of Tehran.
