Counselor arrested , arms , ammo recovered in Jhenaidah

Members of the Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) arrested three criminals including a counselor and recovered a firearm, bullets verities of drugs and cash taka detained three alleged criminals from Adarshapara under Kotchandpur municipality in Jhenidah on Monday morning .The arrested were identified as Rezaul Islam Pathan, counselor of Kotchandpur pouroshova and his two gang members Milon Hossain and Modhu. Commander of RAB-6 Monir Ahammed said, informed from secret sources RAB members raided the house of Rezaul Pathan today very first morning. Later we arrested Rezaul and others from the house and recovered a revolver, 40 round bullets, a set of police dress, 70 pieces yaba, 12 bottles phensidyl, 5 sharp weapons Hasua, Chinese axe and cash taka one lakh nineteen thousand.
Three arrested with arms , drug in Barisal

Police arrested three drug peddlers with one pistol and 50 piece Yaba from Guthia area under Wazirpur Upazila of Barisal district on early Monday. Golam Sarwar, officer in charge of Wazirpur police station, said police arrested Anis and recovered 50 piece Yaba in Guthia area on early Monday. After primary interrogation Anis confessed his crime of drug peddling and revealed names of his associates.
Then police arrested Alamgir and Asad with a 9 MM Pistol from Terodrone village of Guthia union under Wazirpur Upazila of the district on the same night, said S M Akhtaruzzaman, district police superintendent.
Truck driver killed in road mishap

A truck driver was killed three others injured in a road mishap near Pakutia on Tangail-Mymensingh Zonal Highway on Monday morning. The deceased was identified as Abdul Barek 45 son of late Jobber Ali of village Katkai under Madhupur Upazila. Shafiqul Islam OC of Madhupur Thana quoting locals said that Barek owner of a mini truck was coming from Tangail bound for Madhupur. The mini truck was collided head on with another truck coming from opposite direction. Barek was killed on the spot. Three others were injured. Local people rescued them and admitted to Madhupur Upazila hospital.

Khulna range deputy inspector general of police Moniruzzman distributed bamboo sticks and whistles to people at an anti- terrorism and militancy meeting handed bamboo sticks and whistles among people on Monday. The meeting was held at Munshi Meherullah Maidan jointly arranged by Jessore district police and community policing committee on Monday noon. Anisur Rahman, superintendent of police, Jessore chaired the meeting. Woman killed as truck hits 3-wheeler in C’nawabganj
CHAPAINAWABGANJ: A woman was killed and five others were injured when a truck rammed a CNG-run auto-rickshaw at Piling More in Shibganj upazila on Tuesday morning. The deceased was identified as Selina Begum,40, wife of Abul Kalam of Terorashia area of the upazila. Officer-in-charge of Shibganj Police Station Chowdhury Jobayer Ahemd said the accident took place around 8:30 am when a truck hit a CNG-run auto-rickshaw coming from the opposite direction, leaving Selina, passenger of the auto-rickshaw, dead on the spot and five others injured, reports UNB.
