Momtaz- Mostafa Ideal School earns reputation

Momtaz- Mostafa Ideal School has been selected as the best school in Bhangura Upazila under Pabna district. At least 79 students took part in the SSC examination from this school in 2016 and passing rate is cent percent. Among these , eighteen students acquired GPA-5. Hundred one students attended the JSC examination in 2015 and passed 100%. Among them 35 got GPA-5 and 18 students received scholarship. The school has been built adjacent to the Noubariya Road under the Bhangura Municipal, ward number 7 and has a good environment of schools yard. Headmaster Abdul Hakim said, the school was founded by a prominent physician Dr. Golam Mostafa and Dr Momtaz Khanum to compare with Ideal School of Dhaka in 2003. Md Shahjahan Ali,Upazila Secondary Education Officer said that the school has earned a reputation for discipline, sports and studies.
Two Jamaat men held after released on bail

The police arrested Maulana Delwar Hossain, General Secretary, Dhakuria union unit Jamaat-e-Islami under Monirampur upazila in Jessore and activist of the party, Babor Ali of Konakhola village just after they had released on bail Jessore Central Jail on Saturday evening, Biplob Kumar Nath, officer in-charge, Monirampur police station confirmed. The police and relatives of the arrested said the police led by sub inspector Bibhash Kumar arrested the two after they had released on bail in separate case on Saturday evening. The OC told that the two were wanted in separate cases. But he failed to answer how the two released on bail from the jail even after they were wanted.
1683.140 tonnes of rice allocated for Joypurhat
JOYPURHAT: Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief has allocated 1,683.140 tonnes of rice for distribution among the poor people in the five upazilas of the district on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr. Of the total rice, 1,282.640 tonnes will be distributed among about 64,132 poor families of five upazilas of the district. Each VGF card holder family will get 20 kilograms rice, official sources said. Rest 400.500 tonnes rice will be distributed among the 20,025 families in the five Pourasavs of the district before Eid-ul-Fitr, District Relief and Rehabilitation official Mofaksharul Islam said, reports BSS.
RAB seizes Yaba along with peddler in Faridpur
FARIDPUR: Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-8 members stationed at Faridpur seized drug Yaba yesterday night from Laksmipur area of this town along with the peddler. According to Rab sources, a group of the elite force led by Company Commander Major Abdullah Al Hassan acting on a tip off raided a grocery shop near the slaughter house of the town in Laksmipur area. The force searched the shop and found out 515 pieces of Yaba tablets from the possession of the shops’ owner Akash Sheikh, 21, reports BSS.
