Duterte urges public to kill drug dealers

The Philippine president-elect encouraged the public to help him in his war against crime and urged citizens with guns to shoot and kill drug dealers who would resist arrest and fight back in their neighborhoods.
Rodrigo Duterte told a huge crowd celebrating his presidential victory late Saturday in the southern city of Davao that Filipinos who would help him in the bloody war against criminality would be rewarded.

17 killed in India road mishap

A speeding bus struck two cars on a highway in a crash early Sunday that killed at least 17 people and injured 35 others in western India, police said.
The bus struck the cars while they were parked on the side of the Navi Mumbai highway to fix a flat tire. All three vehicles fell into a ditch with the impact of the crash, said police constable Sanjay Shetge.

33 killed in Algeria bus crash

At least 33 people were killed and 22 others injured when a truck collided with a bus which burst into flames in Algeria early on Saturday, authorities said.
The accident took place at 2:50 am (0150 GMT) near the city of Aflou, 400 kilometres (248 miles) south of the capital Algiers, the APS news agency said quoting the civil defence.
The bus slammed into a rocky embankment after the collision and caught fire, with most of the passengers who were asleep at the time burning to death, it said.
Road accidents kill at least 4,000 people each year in Algeria.
