Iran told to ‘stop intervening’
in Iraq

Saudi Arabia accused Iran on Sunday of sowing “sedition” in Iraq urging the Islamic republic to “stop intervening” in the affairs of its neighbours.
“Sedition and division in Iraq are the results of sectarian policies that developed out of Iran’s policies in Iraq,” said Foreign Minister Adel al-Jubeir in a joint press briefing with his British counterpart Philip Hammond in Jeddah.

2 dead in Houston shooting

One suspect was dead and a second was wounded after reports of multiple gunshots in Houston, while another person was found dead in a vehicle, police said on Sunday.
The Houston Police Department said in a Facebook post that an active shooter situation was still in effect and advised area residents to shelter in place or to stay away.
The wounded suspect was transported to a nearby hospital, it said.

Two dead in Germany floods

At least two people died and several more were injured in the south of Germany after torrential storms caused severe flooding, with a third person also feared dead, authorities said on Monday.
In Schwaebisch Gmuend near the city of Stuttgart, a volunteer firefighter died on Sunday trying to rescue a man trapped in a flooded railway station, the municipal authorities said.
It was not immediately clear whether the man who was trapped survived the ordeal.
