Suspected snatcher arrested in Rampal

Rampal Thana Police arrested a man named Helal Uddin, son of late Moslem Uddin from Gourambha Union of the Upazilla on Thursday night in connection with the snatching . Police sources said , he has the possibility of relation with the snatcher who mugged Tk 5 lakh 93 thousand from Khulna-Mongla Highway of the Upazilla .It is also learnt that all the members of his family is related with snatching . Thana sources also told the newsmen that many snatching cases occurred in Mongla , Bangerhat , Rupsha and Goplal Gang Thana by the member of his family s. Mentionable that on Tuesday , the snatcher made obstacle the way by a motorcycle driven by Kubbat Ali and his associates Mosta Hazi who carried the money of Mrs.Miraj Enterprise for TT through Mongla Branch of Alarafa Islami Bank
National Edn Day observed
National Education Day-2016 was observed in Rampal on Wednesday . To celebrate the Day , an elaborate programme was chalked out previously. A good number of students from 63 schools ,colleges and madrasas gathered at Sree Faltala High School. UNO of Rampal Upazilla Rajib Kumar Roy inaugurated the function at 9.30a.m.The students of different institutions participated in essay competition ,Hamd , Nath ,dance , Nazrul song , Robindra song, folk song etc. Teachers of different institutions acted as a judge in the competition . A student have been selected in each category from every school through the competition who have skill in different fields outside bookish knowledge.
3 fined at Gafargaon during submission of nominations

At the time of submitting nomination paper of union parishad election, mobile court fined 3 persons for engaging fighting among themselves on Tuesday noon.
It is learnt that at the end of submitting nomination paper people made a noise and fisticuffs at upazila chattar. Then Executive Magistrate and UNO Shiddhartha Shonkor Kundu fined Kawser Ahmed, Nazrul Mia and Zahirul Haq of Datterbazar Union through mobile court.
6 shops fined Tk 32,000 in Kurigram

A mobile court here fined Taka 32,000 to six shops for different offences on Sunday. The mobile court, led by assistant director of National Consumers Rights Protections Directorate of Kurigram district Sheikh Sadi, conducted the drive in six shops of the Nagarshwari upazila Bazar of the district.The mobile court fined Taka 32,000 for different offences like selling of date expired soaps, mosquito coil without approval of BSTI, ice cream mixed with different colours and adulterated foods.
Rly Department launches eviction drive in Jamalpur

Railway Department launched an eviction drive against the illegal land grabbers at Jamalpur Railway station area on Sunday.Railway sources said the eviction drive was carried out in compliance with the instruction of Dhaka Divisional State office. State Officer Kazi Md. Habibullah led the eviction drive.During the drive Railway Department people removed 100 illegal structures from Jamalpur railway station and its adjacent areas.Two workers of Jamalpur railway department were hurt by the attack of land grabbers during the eviction drive.
