Health Assistant Assoc demands upgradation

Health Assistant Association demands upgradation of their service and pay-scale. Kishoregnj Unit of the Association organised a press conference at the District Public Library hall to raise their demands recently. President of the Association Jahangir Alam Manik presented the written speech. He said, the then Prime Minister Sheikh Hsina in a grand rally of heath assistants on 6th December of 1998 declared that salary discrimination will be eliminated but till today health assistants are being deprived of their salary. The leaders demanded inauguration of `In-service Diploma Course’ from next 1st July. Among others, secretary of the association Sirajul Islam Mukta, Amena Akter, Siful Islam, Ashish Kumar Bonik, Abu Bakar Siddik and Zakir Hossen were present at the press conference.

Monirampur Press Club extended building was inaugurated on Friday afternoon. Shopon Bhattacharjee MP inaugurated it. In his address MP said journalists play vital role in nation building. Mayor of Gafargaon Municipality Alhaj SM Ikbal Hossain Sumon inaugurated the branch of agent Banking at Abdur Razzak Markert in Station Road area on Wednesday noon. On the occasion , Md. Murad Hasan, Assistant Vice-president of Dutch Bangla Bank and Rigional Manager of Agent Banking in Mymensingh Zone, Press Club President Ataur Rahman Mintu, Vice President, Mansur Ahmmed, Pouro Pannel Mayor Shahjahan Saju, 6 No ward Councilor Lal Chan Mia. Md. Kamrul Islam, owner of Ms/ Habib Traders and Dutch Bangla Banking Agent of Gafargaon Upazila delivered welcome speech. Businessmen and journalist Rukon Uddin Sabur presided over the function.
