Raipura Thana police recovered the body of a school student from beans field of Bakharnagor area under Raipura Upazila of the district recently. |The victim was identified as Tapus Biwshas (14) a student of class nine of Bakharnagar UP High School and son of Zahirul Biwshas of village Bakharnagor under Bakharnagor union of Raipura upazila. Tapus family sources said Tapus was missing from yesterday Thursday. They said one notorious Boy of the same village called and took him away from his residence. After that Tapus could not back home. Today morning found the Tapus Body in the Bakharnagor area beans field.
Annual sports , prize- giving ceremony held at Gafargaon

The annual prize giving ceremony of Principal Akhter Hossain Academy was held in the auditorium of Academy on Saturday morning. Md. Nurul Islam Shikder ,Headmaster in charge of Gafargaon Government High School was the chief guest. Dilip Kumar Roy ,Asst teacher of Gafargaon Govt Islamia High School, Press Club President Ataur Rahman Minto were also present special guests. Principal (Rtd) Md. Akhter Hossain presided over the function.
Mobile court fines 18 shoppers in Kishoreganj

A mobile court of Kishoreganj district administration fined 18 shopkeepers at Muksadpur, Shagra, Rashidabad, Gaital, Katabaria, Police lines and Bus terminal in Kishoreganj Sadar on Tuesday for tobacco advertisement campaign. Additional Deputy Commissioner & First class Magistrate Talukdar Md. Akhtar Jamil led the mobile court. The convicted are Md. Ashraf, Siddique Mia, Kurshid Mia, Anawar, Yeasin, Khukan, Dulal Mia, Nazimuddin, Shahed, Manik, Amdadul, Zahid, Harun, Rabin, Elious and Sagar.
Seminar on techniques to enhance crop production held in Bhangoora

A seminar on modern techniques to increase crop production transfer was held at Freedom fighter M.Hossain Ali Auditorium at Bhangoora in Pabna district on Monday. The chief guest was Alhaj Mohammad Maqbul Hossain MP , Chairman, Parliamentary Standing Committee on the Ministry of Agriculture. Additional Director of the Department of Agricultural Extension agronomist Bogra region Mohammad Hazrat Ali presided the seminar, At the seminar, the Deputy Director of Pabna Khamar Bari Bibhuti Bhushan Sarker presented keynote papers.

The residence of Wasim Dewan, Barisal City Unit Secretary of Bangladesh Chhatra League was attacked by unidentified miscreants on early Monday, only one day after seeking safety and security from law enforcers.Wasim Dewan said due to pressure of rival faction he feeling insecure left Barisal few months ago and returning again on Saturday evening appealed before the law enforcing agencies seeking assurances for his safety and security. However within a day of this appeal, his residence at Kawnia first lane area of the city came under attacks of unidentified miscreants on early Monday.
