Four secondary school certificate examinees were expelled from the examination hall when they were engaged in copying the answer from their books from the examination hall at Uttar Narayanpur High School centre of Jhenaidah Sadar upazila on Tuesday under the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Jessore. The expelled examinees are Biplob Hossain, Shadhin Ahmed, Taslima Khatun and Shakil Hossain.
Assistant commissioner (Land) and also executive magistrate Osman Gani said, the four examinees were coping from their books during the answering the questionnaires in the examination hall. They were caught red handed by the teachers and later the executive magistrate had expelled them. The magistrate also seized their registration and admit cards.

Workshop on hygienic food held

Speakers at a workshop on safe food have emphasized the need of raising among the countrymen consciousness about hygienic food for their safely and safety of their future generation. ‘ To have hygienic food we need to have poison free vegetable as well as other food’, they said. The speakers also told that the main source of most of our disease is non-hygienic and poisonous food. Creating consciousness among mass people is the key solution of it. Arranged by Ulashi Srejony Sangstha(USS) in association with Safe Food Movement, SAFE and Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, the workshop was held at the conference room of the deputy commissioner, Jessore on Monday with Mohidul Haque Khan in the chair.
Jatka recovered , 11 fishermen fined in Barisal

Police seized a truck and recovered more than 1,500 kilograms Jatka at Laharhut ferry crossing point under Barisal Sadar upazila and fined 11 fishermen total Tk. 55 thousand for netting those on Monday. Sub Inspector Shafikul Islam, in -charge of Laharhut river police post, said searching a truck coming from Bhola they recovered those Jatka and detained 11 fishermen on early Monday. Bimal Chandra Das, district fishery officer (hilsa) said the recovered Jatka and detained fishermen were produced before a mobile court on Monday afternoon. Kalyan Chowdhury, administrative magistrate operating the court, fined 11 fishermen per-head Tk 5,000 and ordered to distribute the seized Jatka among the distressed people and religious organigations. The detained truck with driver and helper released after taking bonds, the fishery officer said.
