Regional Bishwa Ijtema ends in Barisal

Three-day long Regional level Bishwa Ijtema, the Global Congregation, ended on Saturday noon with Akheri Munajat (closing prayer) for peace and prosperity of the nation and country. Mawlana Md. Jubayer of central Tablig Mosque at Kakrail of Dhaka conducted the Akheri Munajat at regional congressional gathering in Barisal participated by thousands of devotees till Zohr Prayer on Saturday noon. In the Akheri Munajat, thousands of devotees participated in the Ijtema, prayed for their personal well being in this worldly life and life after death as well as peace and prosperities in this world especially for the Muslim nation and countries including Bangladesh. The regional Ijtema at Barisal was started on 10 acres of land and surrounding vast areas at Nabagram Road area of Barisal city on Thursday evening through the aam-bayaan (general sermon) of Mawlana Rafikul Islam, district Tablig Jamaat amir.
ISA workshop held in Rangpur

Two days long Core skills and International School Award [ISA] workshop’ organised by British Council, Bangladesh aiming to add an international dimension in teaching – learning curriculum of the schools concluded on Tuesday afternoon at BRAC CDM, Savar. Speakers stressed for acquiring the 21st century core skills which include Digital literacy, Creativity and imagination, Critical thinking and problem solving, Communication and collaboration, Leadership, Global citizenship to gain global standard of learning . Schools have an action plan to do international activities in school curriculum in order to maintain global standard. Teachers should have an in-depth knowledge and understanding of global teaching-learning practices and international attitude as they impart learning and education among the students.
Teachers need to emphasize on the global issues in the teaching- learning so that the students can develop international attitudes and mindedness in order to be global citizen.
The speakers said, Connecting classroom and ISA practice are very important and essential to develop global mindedness among the teachers and students.
 Connecting Classrooms is a partnership journey between schools at home or abroad which develops networking and sharing the curriculum, extra-curriculum activities of schools and exchanging cultural values, tradition and heritage.
