Nawapara Model Secondary School authority held a condense meeting commemorating the death of popular teacher of the institution Rafiqul Islam. People of different walks of life took part the meeting that was held at the school ground on Friday evening. Rafiqul Islam Sarder, president, school managing committee, chaired the meeting. It was addressed among others by Professor Tabibar Rahman and Alamgir Hossain and Masum Billah.
Road mishap kills SSC examinee
A student of Secondary School Certificate examination was killed in a road mishap at Panchkabar on Jessore – Khulna Highway under Nawapara industrial town on Sunday morning. The victim was identified as Tasim Hossain, 14, SSC examinee of Raj Textile Mills Secondary School and son of Maulana Tasar Hossain of Amdanga village under Abhaynagar upazila.
10 persons injured in village clash

At least 10 persons were injured in a village clash yesterday morning. The clash originated following distribution of land at Protappur village in Jhenaidah Sadar upazila. Five of the injured Liakat Ali, Hafiz Uddin, Momena Khatun, Amena Khatun and Mahfuzur were rushed to the hospital for treatment, said the police.
