Teenage boy electrocuted in Dupchanchia

A teenage boy was electrocuted with the cable of poultry firm in Taluch bazar area of Gunaher union parishad under Dupchanchia upazila of Bogra district on Saturday. The deceased was identified as Anowar Hossain alias Rana, 12, son of Mofser Ali of Pachosha village of the upazila. Officer- in- charge of Dupchanchia police station Gopal Chondro Chacrobarty said Anowar died when he came nearby a poultry firm on the day. Police rushed to the spot and recovered the body and handed over it to the family members. A case was filed with Dupchanchia police in this connection.
203 unregistered motorbikes seized in Jessore

The police seized a total of 203 unregistered motorbikes raiding several places in the district in two days, district police control room said. According to Jessore district police control room, a total of 203 motorbikes were seized by the police from different places under eight upazilas in Jessore in last two-days. Some 511 cases were filed against the owners of motorbikes during the time.
2 held with 100 yaba in Sunamganj

Detectives in a drive arrested two alleged drug peddlers along with 100 pieces of Yaba tablets from Lalpur area of sadar upazila on Saturday afternoon. The arrestees were identified as Abed Ali, 24, son of Farid Miah, a resident of Khaspara village, and Amir Ali, 25, son of Akhter Ali, a resident of Chinaura village. Being tipped off, a team of DB police led by ASI Belal Hossain conducted a drive in the area around 3pm and arrested them along with the Yaba tablets. Debangshu Sekhor Das, sub-inspector of DB police, confirmed the incident.
House robbed
Robbers looted gold ornaments, cash money and other valuables worth about Tk 10 lakh from a house in Srirampur area under Sylhet Dakshin Surma upazila early Friday. Family members and locals said a gang armed robbers numbering 10 to 12 stormed the house of one Abdul Khalik around 3:00am breaking door and held the family members hostage at gunpoint. They also looted gold ornament weighing 20 grams, cash money, mobile phone sets and other valuables worth about Tk 10 lakh in total from the house. Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Moglabazar Police Station Shofikul Islam confirmed the matter and said that they were trying to arrest the robber.
Body recovered from shop

A dead body has been recovered from an electronics equipment repairing shop in the city on Saturday noon. The victim was identified as Rezaul Karim, 20, staff of Seven-star AC and Electronics Service Center at C and B Road area of the city and son of Abul Kalam from Patharghata upazila of Barguna district. Shakhawat Hossain, Kotwali police station officer in charge, said Md. Russell, owner of the shop claimed that, he finding the shop locked from inside at 9:00 AM Saturday, breaking the door entered inside and found dead body of Rezaul lying on floor with vomiting and blood. Police recovering the dead body sent it to Barisal Sher-e- Bangla Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy on Saturday noon and detained the shop-owner Russell for interrogation as he breaking door entered inside the shop without informing police, OC Kotwali PS told.
