2 drug traders convicted in Kachua

A mobile court headed by Md. Majibor Rahman, Nirbahi Officer and Executive Magistrate of Kachua Upazila convicted two drug traders to suffer simple imprisonment for 2 months on the charge of selling drugs recently. The convicted persons are Halim Bepari (35), son of one late Shamsu Bepari of village Gimtakathi under the same Upazila and Mahabub Fakir (26), son of one Monir Fakir of Kayali under Bhandaria Upazila in Pirojpur district. It is learnt from Md. Shamsher Ali, Officer-in-charge of Kachua PS that on the day the convicted persons were arrested by the officer himself from near the local Baleswar bridge while they were going some where to sell ganja. Ganja was recovered from the handles of their bi-cycles.

A police official tried to commit suicide by drinking poison alleging deprived from salaries blaming high official recently. Anwar Hossain, Sub-inspector of Dhushmara river police station under Kurigram district of Rangpur Range, attempted suicide in his native home at Sabujbug under Sadar of Patuakhali district recently. He was immediately rushed to Barisal Sher- e- Bangla Medical College Hospital at night after giving treatment at Patuakhali general hospital . He condition improving and out of danger, said Dr. Das Ranabir of SBMCH emergency ward. SI Anwar came to Jhalakathi on July 4 to give witness before the court in a case lodged during his duty at Jhalakathi Sadar police station. In the computer composed suicide note signed by SI Anwar recovered from the pocket of his pant requesting not to autopsy his dead body. In the suicide note SI Anwar blamed Mohidul Islam, former additional police superintendent of Jhalakathi, for injustice against him while he was working at Jhalakathi Sadar police station in 2012-14.

Two people were killed in a road crash at Bager Sorak in Tamabil Road area recently. The deceased were identified as Al- Amin, 18, a businessman and a resident of Purna nogor Village in Goingate Upazila and Shuhel Ahmed, 25, of Titarai Village in Goingate Upazila Sylhet district. Highway police sources said a Vagetable -laden Ven from the Bager Sorak in Tamabil Road area early Wednesday hit another Tree. leaving the Al- Amin and businessman Shuhel Ahmed, sitting beside him, dead on the spot.
Four dacoits arrested in Sylhet
Companigong Poilce arrested four alleged dacoits from Sosankula area recently. Police recovered different weapons including handcuffs, signal lights, daggers and choppers from them. the Arrested are Abu Musa, Ali Hossain, Shipon Miah, Monir Hossain on the basis of his information, police arrested A Group of Listed Inter District Dacoits in Sosankula area Companigong Upazila areas and recovered different materials used in hijacking and snatching. PIROJPUR: Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) in a drive arrested a drug peddler along with 500 pieces of Yaba tablet from Stadium area of the town on Wednesday Night. The arrestee was identified as Nesar Uddin, 35, son of Habibur Rahman of Sheikhpara area under sadar upazila.Being informed, a team of elite force conducted the drive and arrested Nesar with the drugs, RAB sources said. A case was filed in this connection, reports BSS.
Woman held with heroin in Joypurhat
JOYPURHAT: A team of police in a drive arrested a woman with 30 packets of heroin in Hichmi Radhapara area of sadar upazila on Wednesday evening. The arrestee was identified as Amena Begum, 50. Being informed, a team of police raided the area and arrested her with the drugs, sources said. The team of police in another drive seized 98 bottles of phensidy from a house of Sonapara village under Panchbibi upazila. A case was filed in this connection, reports BSS..

GAIBANDHA: Record development works involving Taka 9 crore have been accomplished at different institutions of Shaghata Upazila in the district form 2009 to June 2015.
