Worker electrocuted in Adamdighi

A construction worker was electrocuted in Sonaramela area in Pushinda village under Adamdighi upazila of Bogra district on Friday night. The deceased was identified as Jolpy, 24, son of late Nagen in Pushinda village of the upazila . The eyewitness said Jolpy died when he came in contact with local electric line at a pillar in the area at around 8.00 pm on the day. Based on the news police rushed to the spot and recovered the body. An unnatural death case was filed with Adamdighi police in this connection, said oc.
Woman body recovered in Sylhet

Police recovered the body of a woman from a flat at Korerpara Mohana in the city. The identity of the deceased could not be known yet. Officer-in-charge of Jalalabad Police Station said being informed, police recovered the body of a woman lying on the 3rd floor of a five-storey building on Saturday at 1.00pm. Police suspect miscreants might have strangulated the woman to death. Police sent the body to Osmani Medical College Hospital for an autopsy.

NGO employee killed in Laxmipur road accident
LAXMIPUR: An NGO employee was killed in Bismillah road area of Chandragonj in sadar upazila on Saturday. The deceased was identified as Lutfar Rehman, 25, a field worker of SSS NGO, who hailed from Jamalpur district. Abul Hashem, sub-inspector of Chandraganj highway police, said a Khulna- bound bus of ‘Rohan Paribahan’ from Feni hit Lutfar when he was crossing the road by a bicycle in the afternoon, leaving him dead on the spot, reports UNB.
2 held with 437 bottles of phensidyl in Thakurgaon

Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) arrested two alleged drug peddlers along with 437 bottles of Indian Phensidyl syrup from Chikni Chakmapara village in Haripur upazila. The arrestees were identified as Nuruzzaman,27, son of Mojibur Rahman, a resident of Chikni Chakmapara village and Kurban Ali,30, son of late Abdul Malek, a resident of Dharmagaur village in the upazila.
